Who is Norville Barnes'?
Norville
is a fictional character from one of my favorite movies. The reason we
used that name is simple: Norville was a less-than-intelligent person
who was given an amazing opportunity through no good of his own. He
took this opportunity and became smug at the fact that he was
successful and bought into his own press. He demeaned the people around
him and used his success for no good. In the end, as in any good story,
Norville had his come-uppance only to later realize that he was no
genius.

Why are all the clocks stuck at 4:20?
One,
they don't have batteries. Two, it relates to the beer signs posted
near them. Three, it is a joke among the staff and does not need to be
explained any further.
^ top
Do you make everything from scratch?
Yes! This is not the pre-packaged, heat-and-serve, just add water food that you find almost everywhere else.
^ top
Do we get any bread with this?
Believe
it or not, we aren't the "only restaurant in the universe that does not
serve bread." Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't; it just depends
on what you order. The option to purchase a side of our delicious
garlic bread is always there, though.
^ top
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes. And you can use them at Norville Barnes' or ABBEY.
^ top
Is this Japanese restaurant?
As a matter of fact it's not.
^ top
Is this the same ownership as ABBEY?
Yes. ABBEY and Norville Barnes' make up Carrie Nation Company, LLC.
^ top

It's the soup of the day. Mmmmm... that sounds good. I'll have that.

^ top
Did this used to be Sisters?
USED TO are the keywords. Yes, this was previously Sisters. Now it's not.
^ top
What is a beer dinner?
A
family-style dinner featuring an array of unique beers and dishes. We
tend to focus on one brewery per dinner, pairing a wide variety of
brews with dishes designed to complement the beer flavors. The events
start with a reception at ABBEY, followed by the main event at Norville
Barnes'. Tickets are $55 per person, not including tax and gratuity,
and must be purchased in advance at ABBEY or Norville Barnes'.

Do you have wine dinners?
Do
you really think we'd forget about our favorite winos? Of course we
have wine dinners, and they work just the same as the beer dinners (you
just drink wine instead, imagine that). We alternate between beer and
wine depending on which brewery or winery we can work with, so keep an
eye out for upcoming events.
^ top
Do you make your own desserts?
Of course. Mr. Foster and Ms. Jessica whip up sweet treats from scratch that are sure to please.
